Why we make in small, fresh batches

Most skincare is made once, in volume, and then sits — in a warehouse, on a shelf, in a shipping container — for months before it ever meets your skin. Active botanicals do not wait patiently. They oxidise, they fade, they lose the very potency you are paying for.

So we make differently. Every Jo Nature formula is hand-blended in small, fresh batches inside our laboratory, which sits within one of our botanical farms in lower eastern Kenya. A batch is mixed, filled, sealed and sent — not stockpiled.

The trade-off is deliberate. We carry less inventory and occasionally sell out. In return, the Calendula in your cleanser is still doing its work, the Rosehip in your oil still carries its golden vitamin A, and the scent is the one we intended — not a faded memory of it.
